I haven't done a product review in awhile, and I'm worshipping this new one from It Cosmetics.
I've slowly been becoming a huge fan of It Cosmetics—"slowly" because their products can be slightly expensive, so it's been a gradual process as my bank account has allowed.
But every product I've tried of theirs, I love. In particular, their brushes are divine. If you're in an ULTA in the near future, go pet them. You won't be able to stop.
"But ULTA is a public place; won't I look like a total creep just petting brushes for hours on end?"
You bet your aspercreme; but you're just going to have to make peace with that. And if it helps, any fellow It Cosmetics-loving onlookers will gaze at you with a knowing smile and totally understand, and I'm sure the clerks will let you know when the store is closing.
The product I'm featuring today is called "Bye Bye Redness," and I hope it never dies. I kind of want to just buy like 9 jars to ensure I'll never have to live without it.
I used it this past weekend when I did wedding makeup, and it worked like a charm on everyone I used it on.
And when it comes to my own face, I'm constantly battling breakouts (cruel irony—I somehow adopted the skin of a 13-year-old), and I have substantial scarring on my cheeks from a staph infection I had back in high school, so this does an amazing job at evening out my complexion color-wise and texture-wise, and with the texture of a velvet primer, it's SUPER lightweight.
Just so there's no confusion, I'm not encouraging an all-out It Cosmetics binge. One product I would probably pass on is the Bye Bye Pores setting powder, not because it's not great (it's pretty great), but because, at $24, I think it's overpriced for what it does. (Disclaimer so you guys don't think I'm nuts for buying $24 glorified corn starch, basically: I didn't buy it; I got a free sample as a gift with purchase). Basically, I think the E.L.F. setting powder does the trick just about equally well, and it's only $3, so, you know . . . my wallet prefers it.
Bottom line, if you suffer from redness or pick-ax acne scars, check this bad boy out. If you're a little leery about the $32 price tag, I commend you for your good judgment, and you can ask for a free sample of it at ULTA.
Have a wonderful day, dearests.
