I haven't done a celeb-inspired look in awhile, and since it's Fancy Face Friday at Pretty Much, I couldn't think of anything FANCIER than miss Iggy Azalea herself. I copied her makeup look so now "I be the I-G-G-Y."
The classic Iggy Azalea look focuses on bold lips, bold liner, and groomed brows. Pretty simple, but super striking because it's turned up to eleven. Okay, let's get started.
First thing's first, I'm the rill-est. ;) JK sorry, now I have that song stuck in my head.
But really first thing's first: CAT EYE!!! Like it's your job. I always start with my eyes open so I can use my lower lash line to draw the cat eye out and basically just extend that line upward and outward.
Then starting from the inner corner on the top lash line, use a liquid liner and gradually thicken it as it goes out until it comes to a point, meeting the end of the line you drew first.
Then just fill in the triangle.
Iggy actually doesn't usually do much to her lower lash line, but if you did, make sure you smudge the bottom liner a little bit so there are no harsh lines on the bottom. The cat eye is more about precision on the top lash line.
For the lips, just line them with a deep red . . .
Blend the liner in a little bit and then make like Elise Elliot in First Wives Club and "FILL 'EM UP!" with a bright red lipstick.
Fill your brows, apply a soft taupe color to your crease, and give yourself a few coats of mascara on the top lashes.
Consider yourself . . .
This is my IA impression . . . complete with a slick-back. #ohyeah
. . . and this look was the exact same with a gold eyeshadow gradient and not as long of wings on the cat-eye. It was based on this Iggy look.
