I've been teasing about this post for a couple of weeks now, and while this isn't really a peek into my MAKEUP bag, it IS a peek into what I've been counting on to get me through these dog days, some of which includes makeup products.
Those adorable Kate Spade sunnies were a birthday gift from my seesta, and I'm absolutely in love with them. Plus, whenever I get something from Kate Spade (which is not super often considering I'm not made of gold), I always keep the packaging because it's always colorful with fun prints and patterns, and I'm like . . .
But really . . .
Thanks, Shannon! <3
Also, I've been GOING TO TOWN on MAC lipsticks lately.
Most recently: Relentlessly Red, Be Fabulous, and Be a Lady have stolen my heart.
I mixed Relentlessly Red with Be a Lady and came up with this fun, summery magenta. If you're looking for a red with a pinkish hue to it, Relentlessly Red is your girl. ;)
. . . and here's Be Fabulous. Also, please note that I don't normally have a lazy eye. I'm kind of confused by that picture on the left. Pull yourself together, Jessi.
And also, I've been exploring TARTE products a lot more now that I found out that it's a clean brand. I've always liked Tarte products, but after finding out how much our topical products seep into our systems, and reading about Tarte's story, and finding out that ALL of their products are made without harsh chemicals (including parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, triclosan, synthetic fragrances, and gluten), I have become an addict. Their products are amazing, and just like Kate Spade, their packaging is deliciously adorable!
In particular, their Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blushes are perfection. I'm loving the shade Tipsy this summer. The only downfall is they're $26 each so if you're looking for a cheaper substitute, I'd recommend NYX's line of blush because they've got a pretty wide of array of shades, and they're only around $6.
My favorite NYX blush is the Mosaic Powder Blush in Silk. It's very warm and gives a very sweet, peachy shimmer for the apples of your cheeks. How you like them apples? :)
I will most likely be talking about all of the other products in my bag in the near future as well, and if you have any questions, please leave a comment, and I'd be happy to chat:)
