In 2015, I had the gigantic privilege of doing makeup for just over 20 weddings in addition tonumerous boudoir shoots, homecomings, engagement shoots, etc.
Including brides, bridesmaids, mothers, and the bevy of other friends/family that weddings entail, I clocked in some major glam-squad hours with dozens of beautiful women—my sister being one of them. :)
So I just wanted to give those brides a shout-out because one of the best perks of makeup artistry is all of the awesome people I get to meet, get to know better, and get to be surrounded by—and I had so much fun at each and every one.
Plus, those mornings are always brimming with excitement and overflowing with champagne so it's just an all-around awesome vibe.
And again—free champagne. At 8:00am. Wedding mornings are seriously the best.
Here are some photos of just a handful of the weddings I got to help with this year—thanks for letting me take part in your big days, 2015 brides! You are all so beautiful inside + out.
I also *absolutely adore* (Clarice Kensington voice) doing makeup for weddings because I LOVE being able to contribute to the magic of it all by pampering the bride and her entourage and making them feel extra gorgeous that day.
I think it's a huge privilege to be able to share those exciting pre-wedding moments with them, and I feel like I always leave the venue with a renewed sense of gratitude for good people and a unique job that affords me the opportunity to make women feel a little more confident and beautiful.
It makes my heart happy—mostly the "feelin' myself" peeks in the mirror and super-sly selfies I witness being taken when their makeup is hot-to-trot and "on fleek." (Here's hoping the phrase "on fleek" fizzles out with 2015).
Cheers to all my lovely clients—y'all flawless. ;)
